The Beach ('t Strandje)

Nuclea has a unique outdoor location for swimming. On beautiful summer days you and your family and friends can enjoy a beautiful white sandy beach with a nice playground. 

Our sun lovers also make intensive use of the white sandy beach for that ever-so-necessary annual portion of sun, but also to spend a pleasant afternoon together with friends.  

The quality monitoring of the water is carried out twice monthly by qualified bodies such as the Provincial Institute for Hygiene and the Flemish Environmental Company. The condition of the water is published at the entrance to the beach.  

For members of the “Swimming” section, the beach is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m in July and August. In case of bad weather, the Nuclea Board of Directors may decide to close the beach earlier (from 5 p.m. at the earliest).

Guest cards are available at the secretariat or at the lake (€30 for 5 visits).
