Basketball

The basketball section was founded in 1958. We played competition the first years in “het Antwerpse Handelsverbond”. In 1976, we started to take part in the Koninklijke Belgische Basketbal Bond (KBBB – the Royal Belgian Basketball Federation) competitions, and we switched to the Koninklijke Antwerpse Vereniging voor Vriendenclubs (KAVVV – the Antwerp Royal Society for Friendly Clubs) in '98.

Currently we don’t play competition any more, but we keep on training on Wednesday at 9pm and Friday nights at 8:30 pm. We always start with a decent warming-up session and a mutual match afterwards. Training continues during the summer months in order to keep fit and active. When our team is complete, we also try to organize some practice matches. 

We would be very happy to welcome some new basketball players in our team! Don’t hesitate and join us.
